    What to Expect Before & After Implant Surgery

    Before your dental implant procedure, please inform our team of any medications, medical conditions, or allergies, and follow all instructions regarding eating or drinking—especially if sedation is planned. You’ll also want to arrange transportation for the day of surgery and wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing, as you'll need the rest of the day for downtime and recovery. After your procedure, mild swelling or discomfort is normal and can be managed with prescribed or recommended over-the-counter medications. Stick to a soft diet for the first few days and gradually transition back to normal foods once your restoration is fully in place. Maintaining excellent oral hygiene is essential, including gentle brushing around the surgical site and using an antimicrobial rinse if recommended.
